General information

The Baa Atoll is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Hanifaru Bay, within it, is the world's largest gathering site for manta rays: between July and November, during the plankton season, hundreds of mantas arrive to feed in the bay in shallow waters, shallow enough to be reached even by snorkeling. Euro-Divers operates from Club Med Finolhu with direct access to excursions to Hanifaru. Dives in the atoll cover reefs, channels, and sites with turtles and grey reef sharks. For those who want manta rays, this is the place.
